FAQs
Accessibility of the venue….
1
We've gone to great lengths to make sure everyone is able to navigate the entire venue grounds, regardless of ability. We've arranged sensory friendly spaces for mothers, overstimulated guests, or any other need that would require someone to remove themselves from the hustle and bustle of the ceremony or reception. We don't want anyone to feel that they can't make it due to limited mobility, basic childcare needs, sensory issues, or anything else!
Guntersville state park lodge doesn’t allow any outside alcohol into the lodge event spaces. All alcohol inside the lodge Event spaces must be purchased from the lounge, restaurant, or be what we’ve provided for the cocktail hour and reception. If you bring in outside booze you will be responsible for whatever fines or other consequences the lodge imposes.

Venue Alcohol Policy
Please! We know that a decent chunk of our guest list are parents that might have to consider their options for childcare. We will be providing activities to accommodate all our younger guests like coloring stations, bubbles, and more!! If finding a babysitter will allow you to enjoy yourself more, no judgement, you do you babe. But if you want to save that money (maybe even donate it to our happily ever after :D ) and let your littles celebrate with us, we're already planning ways to help keep them engaged, occupied, and most of all happy! If anyone is worried about a meltdown, don't! Bring those babies, we love them too!

Should I bring my kids?
A wedding? In April? In Alabama?!
4
Yes! Thankfully, we chose a venue that has a well thought out weather contingency plan. Rain or shine, hot or cold, we have been assured our ceremony and reception will be be clean, dry, and at a comfortable temperature. We will be provided with spaces with central heating and air and heaters/fans for any exterior spaces that are being used.
Cellphones at the ceremony?

No. I (Emily) will cut you. Also, if you think I won’t stop the ceremony and call you out in front of god and everyone else, you shouldn’t be there because you don’t know me well at all. Don’t be that guy. Make good choices.
Post them! Tag us! Just make sure you get our good sides!
